We are sharing some beautiful medium format film portraits today from Romanian photographer Cristi Mirica. These portraits are full of dynamic lighting with a range of black and white and color films, and each one shows Cristi’s unique connection to his subjects. A few words from Cristi:
I shoot mostly in digital, because it is convenient, I think. But emotionally, I am closer to film. Film is softer, imperfect, grainy. It is more human. People are my favourite subjects and showing the femininity in women. Hope you enjoy.
Analog cameras and films used: Hasselblad, Toyo 4×5 | Ilford HP5, Kodak Tmax, Kodak Tri-X, Kodak Portra 400, Fuji Pro 400H | Developed by Carmencita Film Lab and Mein Film Lab
