On Monday we launched a project we are so, so excited to share with you… Shoot It With Film Insiders!

SIWF Insiders is a place all about learning and community. You’ll get a fresh new film photography course every month to learn how to take your film photography to the next level.

You’ll also get to join our private Facebook community to give you the encouragement and support you need to grow creatively, ask all your questions, and share your work.

You can get the details here, but we wanted to take a few minutes to give you a look at our module for the first month and tackle some of your questions.

*** Doors close on Monday. This is your only chance to get the special Founding Members rate, so be sure to hop on over to the site and check it out!

What will I learn this month in SIWF Insiders?

Module One is all about double exposures. Not only will you learn the basics of double exposure film photography (what they are, how to take them, and how it affects your film negative), you will also learn about 6 different kinds of double exposure techniques.

You’ll get tips for how to shoot each of these techniques and soooo much inspiration to keep you motivated.

What kinds of things are in the module?

For our double exposure module, you’ll start the month off with an intro video, inspiration guide, and homework assignment (don’t worry, there are no grades! Just to help keep you motivated and put everything we’re learning into practice).

Then, throughout the month, we’ll share a couple quick tip videos, and finish off the month with an awesome artist interview with a film photographer who creates amazing double exposures.

How can I access everything?

All of the materials for each month’s module will be available on the SIWF Insiders website and in the Facebook community.

Initial resources will drop on the 1st of each month, and then we’ll keep the modules updated as we share more resources throughout the month.

What if I don’t get to the lesson right away? Will the lesson disappear after the month is over?

No worries! You will have access to the module for as long as you’re a member of SIWF Insiders. The lessons aren’t going anywhere!

And the Facebook group will be there for you for any questions you might have no matter what module you’re working through.

What will be happening in the Facebook group this month?

The private Facebook community is there for anything you need!

We’ll be talking a lot about double exposures this month, sharing tips, answering questions, and sharing images, but it’s also a place to talk all film all the time.

You can always share any of your film images and ask questions about any film topic.

You said you’re in beta testing, what does that mean?

We are opening up SIWF Insiders for a small group of Founding Members who will beta test the membership with us. We’ll ask for your feedback on the modules, what you like and don’t like, and how the website and Facebook group are working for you.

Your feedback will help us create the most amazing film photography learning experience we can for you.

It also means you get the best deal!

We are so thankful to have you involved in the early stages, and all our founding members can sign up for $14/month, our lowest discounted price ever, and keep that price for as long as you’re in the membership.

For a little more than the cost of one roll of Portra 400 a month, you can invest in your film education and grow into a more creative and confident film photographer!

What will you be teaching next month?

Developing black and white film!

We are so excited to share this with you. We will walk you through everything you need to know to develop your own black and white film, the materials you need (and what they do), how to deal with chemicals, a step-by-step video of the entire process, and super helpful cheat sheets to make it so easy.

You are not going to want to miss this!

Click here to check out all of the details and join us! Founding Member pricing ends and doors close in 3 days!
