Today, we’re featuring a series of travel images on expired film. Film photographer Grant Buchanan captured the Greek island of Cephalonia with 20+ year expired Fuji Velvia 50. Here are a few words from Grant about working with expired film, and be sure to scroll down to see the beautiful tones of expired Velvia…
This is a set of pictures taken in mid April, 2019 on a roll of 23 years expired Fuji Velvia 50 with a Nikon FM2n camera. The roll of film was given to me by a friend who works as a press photographer, and this was a roll left over from the 90’s.
The location is the Greek Island of Kefalonia. I visited there in April just before the tourist season starts in May, so it was nice and peaceful driving around, seeing the landscapes. I like how the color pallet turned out in these images.
