This week, we’re featuring a stunning series on black and white film from photographer Madison Lloyd. Madison captured the incredible beauty of White Sands National Park and used black and white film to enhance the abstract nature of the landscape. Here is more from Madison about this series…
This series is about White Sands, a Chihuahuan Desert in New Mexico. It is about the combination of value, texture, and shape that is represented by the sand dunes. How these three elements create these abstract sceneries throughout the white sands.
This series was inspired by the way I felt in this environment over a three day camping trip in the dunes. I simply wanted to share this experience of mine with others.
Analog cameras and films used: Mamiya 645 Pro (Find at KEH Camera or on eBay) | Ilford XP2 (Find on Amazon)
