This week, we’re featuring a lovely landscape and travel series from film photographer Marissa Wu. Marissa is currently based in San Francisco, but, while living in Paris last year, she traveled to Étretat, France and captured its amazing cliffs on film. Here is more from Marissa about the town of Étretat and a link to her travel guide about the area…
Étretat, located in Normandy by Le Havre, is famous for its dramatic, plunging white cliffs and pebbled beach. Many come to see it for the renowned “elephant.”
The day started off dreary and drizzly; thick fog reminding me of my hometown of San Francisco. Luckily, the sun made a dazzling appearance, especially at sunset. The landscape is incredibly vast and gives a true sentiment of awe. I wrote a little guide on my own blog for those interested in travelling there.
Analog cameras and films used: Nikon F100 (Find at KEH Camera or on eBay) | Fuji Pro 400H (Find on Amazon)
