Double exposures, light leaks, and a beautiful portrait session! We’re so excited to feature this amazing creative portrait session from Erin Scabuzzo of Hello Pinecone. Each of Erin’s images is just overflowing with creativity and joy. Here are a few words from Erin about this amazing portrait session…
I was thrilled to photograph lovely and super creative Ashley, the creative director and sous chef of Fig + Forgage LA. Since she is at home in nature, shooting in the mountains of Topanga Canyon in Los Angeles at sunset was the perfect location. I wanted to experiment with double exposures/light leaks/prisms during this session and dedicated a roll of 35mm to this purpose. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I fell in LOVE with the result. This was my first time shooting some doubles after the fact, by running the same roll of film through the camera the next day and shooting blurred twinkle lights. I went between that and opening the back of the camera to get those light leaks!
