Southern California and film are always a perfect pair. Add in the amazing work of film photographer Kristen Holm, and it becomes completely magical! Kristen is sharing her travels to Palm Springs with us today, and each image is filled with beautiful colors and sunshine. Here are a few words from Kristen:
What I love most about Palm springs is the colour. I can’t think of a better way to capture the sunny skies and brightly coloured buildings than with a few rolls of film. Most of the images from this trip were shot in full sun! Film handles this harsh light like an absolute champ! Before I started shooting film, I would never imagined it would be possible to capture colour like this at high noon!
One of my favourite things about this trip was exploring the mid-century neighbourhoods and completing the Palm Springs Door Tour. We also did a driving tour of Joshua Tree National Park, hit up Salvation Mountain, and rode the tramway up San Jacinto mountain.
