Today, we’re taking a trip to Stockholm, Sweden through the lens of film photographer Marta Karcz. With Kodak film and a 35mm camera, Marta was able to capture such warmth in her images and bring this wonderful city to life. Here are a few words from Marta about her connection to Stockholm…
I come from Poland, but I’m based in Stockholm – the city I had fallen in love with while spending my one-year sabbatical in Sweden years ago. I always knew I would like to come back and stay here for as long as possible. Now it’s happening, and there’s no other place I’d rather choose for my second home.
Stockholm is a dream to photograph with its cobblestone lanes, colorful buildings, and narrow streets. It’s also built on water, which also adds even more to its charm. I love to wake up early, take my camera, and just go where the city takes me. It’s pretty amazing that on such excursions the streets you thought you knew well always have something new to offer an eager photographer.
