Australia and film are such an incredible combination. Its gorgeous light and epic beaches just makes the film come alive. Ellen Richardson captures every bit of the depth and beauty of the Australian coast in these images, and we’re thrilled to feature her film photography here on the blog. Here are a few words from Ellen about capturing Australia on film:
These images are from a recent trip to Mornington Peninsula, Australia where I spent 3 days exploring the beaches and taking some time to breathe after a hectic year in the city, shot with a Zeiss Ikon on Agfa Vista 400, as well as some favourite portraits of model Jasmin (@jasmin.amma) from Folk Co.(@folk_co), shot on a Canon AE-1 on Kodak Portra 400. This was my first portrait series shot on film which I never thought I’d be able to achieve, but was so happy with the results! All developed at Hillvale in Melbourne, Australia.
Analog cameras and films used: Zeiss Ikon, Canon AE-1 | Agfa Vista 400, Kodak Portra 400 | Developed by Hillvale
