Today, we’re featuring a wonderful Alaska travel series from Connor Burris. Here is more from Connor about capturing his solo trip to Alaska on 35mm film…
This recent summer (2022), I traveled by vehicle solo to Alaska from my home in Missouri. I took my 1996 Land Cruiser as my steed, and along the way met many folk and took many film photos on my Canon AE-1 Program! It was the most memorable trip of my life and extremely empowering for me as a young man. The trip was 12,000 miles round trip and took me one month to complete. I slept in the back of the Land Cruiser every single night and cooked a majority of my meals out of the back hatch of my vehicle.
Analog cameras and films used: Canon AE-1 Program (Find at KEH Camera or on eBay) | Kodak Portra 400 (Find on Amazon), Kodak Gold 200 (Find on Amazon), Fujifilm Superia 400 (Find on Amazon)
