Today, we’re featuring a travel story from the southern coast of Australia from photographer Mathieu Meynard. Here is more from Mathieu about this series…
I started film photography almost two years ago. Like most people, I started with 35mm film. After one and half years shooting with this format, I decided to try medium format. That is why I bought a Yashica 12, which is the precursor to the famous Yashica 124G.
I don’t take a lot of landscape photographs, but coming to Australia and having a few holidays here encouraged me to try it out more.
It was also a good opportunity to test landscape photography for the first time in medium format.
All these photographs were taken on a road trip in the south of Australia. We spent almost ten days on the Great Ocean Road, from Phillips Island to Grampians National Park.
The 35mm photographs were taken with a Minolta x700. We shot Kodak Portra 400 and Ektar 100.
I took most of these photographs, but some of the 35mm photographs were taken by Charlotte Meynard.
