Our latest feature is a lovely Italy travel series from film photographer Branko Oktavec. Here is more from Branko about capturing the beautiful summer colors of Italy on film…

I got an idea for this body of work during my trip to Italy this summer while visiting Rome, Florence, and Venice. I was captivated by the vibrant hues that contrasted sharply with my home state of Wyoming, which can seem mundane. I wanted to capture the essence of that Italian summer, creating a visual escape from my typically muted surroundings. While each location offers a unique atmosphere and color scheme, collectively, they epitomize the quintessential Italian summer palette.
