Today, we’re featuring a stunning series of portraits from Dallas based photographer Christopher Michael. Using both medium format and 35mm film, Christopher brings an elegance and beauty to each portrait he captures. Here is more from Christopher about his photography journey…
I first started photography in 2015 using my iPhone 5. Initially, I started with street photography when traveling to San Francisco and Marfa, Texas before swiftly migrating over to portraiture. My work is very influenced by Black culture and minimalism (in a sense that my photos are very simple, clean, and understated yet striking) with a sort of soft dreamy touch!
Analog cameras and films used: Mamiya RB67 Pro SD (Find at KEH Camera with code SIWF21 for 5% off or on eBay), Nikon FM2 (Find at KEH Camera or on eBay) | Kodak Portra 400 (Find on Amazon)
