Today, we’re featuring a beautiful photo series from film photographer John Comitale. Here is more from John about photographing the Hudson Valley…
These photos are a collection of my time spent in Coxsackie, NY. I grew up in Upstate NY and moved to the Hudson Valley to be with my now wife. I am a poet and a musician, and photography is the same language—just a different way to listen. Each frame is like a verse or a chord, speaking in light and time. It’s about chance—keeping your eyes open, waiting for the surprise, letting the world find you before you try to shape it. I was blessed to live along the Hudson River for the last three years. Even more blessed to have a young dog who woke up early enough to spend time by the banks for first-blush and a partner to spend golden-hour with.
