Our latest feature is a travel series from photographer Jacqueline Franquez of her time on the North Carolina coast. Here is more from Jacqueline about visiting Ocracoke Island…
I lovingly named this set Life Aquatic. The colors and mood remind me of something straight out of a Wes Anderson film. My boyfriend and I were heading to Ocracoke to photograph a wedding and had some downtime to explore. We took the ferry, and the light inside was pretty incredible, so I had him sit and I started snapping. Other images are from exploring around Ocracoke as well as the Outer Banks, where we stopped to see the hang gliders at Jockey’s Ridge and the Hatteras Lighthouse.

Love the tones you’ve gone for in these Jacqueline; they really complement the theme beautifully.

Love the colour palette of the images from the film stock used. I shall try the same film in my F-1, if I can get some as normally I use B&W film.
