Our latest feature is a wonderful Italy travel story from Michele Berardi. Here is more from Michele about traveling around Puglia…
My name is Michele. I’m 25, and I’m from the oldest republic in the world: San Marino. For me, shooting is an experience that thrills me every time I’m pressing the shutter with my eye peeking through the viewfinder. The important thing is to have fun and to get timeless memories of days spent exploring with friends or just walking around usual places.
In 2021, with a bunch of friends, we decided to spend the week after Ferragosto in Puglia. Our basecamp was set to be Monopoli, and from there, would visit and enjoy all the surroundings of that beautiful region. I brought with me my FX-3 Super 2000 that I got as a gift from a dear friend of mine and two rolls of Kodak Gold 200. My 35mm is very cheap and handy. This permits me to take it literally everywhere without sweating it, allowing me to focus and enjoy the moments that inspire me to take pictures.
Analog cameras and films used: Yashica FX-3 S2000 (Find at KEH Camera or on eBay) | Kodak Gold 200 (Find on Amazon)
