Today, we’re featuring a beautiful travel story from Olivia Millar-Ross. Here is more from Olivia about spending time Croatia…
These film shots are from a trip to Zadar, a city on Croatia’s Dalmatian Coast. It is a 3,000 year old city that the Romans conquered first, followed by the Venetians, and there is evidence of this to be found around every corner in the architecture of the city. Architect Nikola Bašić created the Sea Organ, an architectural object and experimental musical instrument that gives voice to the waves that lap against the city’s seafront. Alfred Hitchcock is quoted as saying, “Zadar has the most beautiful sunset in the world,” and sitting with a glass of wine, listening to the Sea Organ as the sun sets, you can see why.
