Fedje is a tiny island off the coast of Norway’s western Hordaland. It’s only accessible by ferry and with a population of around 600. We came across the island whilst on a road trip through Norway. Often referred to as the “village in the ocean,” it’s a beautiful island like no other.
The island seemed to be deserted when we arrived as it was out of season, which suited us well, and with the bonus of a week’s solid sunshine, our timing was perfect.
The combination of those classic Norwegian colors, their blue clear waters, and the sunshine made it perfect shooting conditions. It was like that the whole week we spent there.
I captured all that I saw whilst we were there, but I was constantly drawn towards the reflective tones and colors that the waters gave.
