Today, we’re featuring a lovely travel story from film photographer Taylor Blanchard. Taylor captured San Francisco on the new 120 version of Kodak Gold 200 film. Here is more from Taylor about her time on the California coast…
My first time shooting Kodak Gold 200 in medium format was on a trip to San Francisco, not too long after it hit the shelves. We were traveling with family, and I thought it would be a great walking around film to shoot in the Rolleiflex MX-EVS.
It was our niece and nephew’s first time in San Francisco, and I loved seeing the city through their eyes as if it was my first time.
Kodak Gold in 120 was perfect for capturing the California sun as we traipsed through the city and to the coast, and from museums to shops.
Since then, it’s become one of my favorite travel films and really shines in the square format.
