
Today, we’re featuring a hauntingly beautiful fine art series from Connecticut based photographer Anastasia Fasnakis. Captured on black and white medium format film and Polaroids, Anastasia created a series that all started with a mirror in her grandmother’s garden. This series came after a long, tough artistic draught. I had been shooting primarily landscapes and scenes in nature for some time, and I felt unchallenged. I wanted to incorporate something more into my work. I got inspired by a small mirror hanging on the fence in my grandmother’s garden. My vanity got the best of me, and well, yeah, I took a selfie in the garden! But that selfie got me thinking…
