Today, we’re featuring a beautiful travel series from film photographer Juan Carlos González. Juan Carlos captured Paris on 35mm film and a variety of instant film cameras. Here is more from Juan Carlos about how he uses film to document his travels…
Since I discovered the world of analog photography, I try to bring at least one camera on my travels. On my travels, I love to go for a walk and lose myself in the streets of that new city. I like to take instant photos to be able to have some souvenir of the city, and I love the adrenaline it gives you when taking 35mm format photographs to be able to remember and relive my experience once at home, with the rolls of Ektachrome E100 developed and see them for the first time. They have gone well or badly, each photo is unique.
In Paris, a city of great culture and beautiful architecture, I have realized that my main model has been the Eiffel Tower. From any street, you can see it in the distance. Wherever you point your camera, you will find a beautiful scene to shoot it with film. It is a city that surrounds you with inspiration, and these are some of my favorite photographs of this amazing city.
