I loved using disposable film cameras as a kid and recently rediscovered this passion. My parents gifted me their old film camera from the 90’s. It’s been a fun experience learning the ropes of manual film photography, and I take my camera everywhere now.
I feel most inspired taking pictures of nature — the mountains, rocks, and trees (an animals if I’m quick enough). There’s something special about capturing a still moment when everything around you is so alive and wild. These pictures were captured in the Swiss Alps and the wilds of the American West and Southwest.

These film photos of the western canyons and mtn tops remind me very much of the film photos I took as a child . We travel from Central Illinois to Wyoming, Colorado, Montana, Utah and the likes . We spent a lot of time fishing in Southern Wyoming in the Snowy Mtn Range . I had a Mamyia MSX 1000 . I had a paper route and saved up my money to purchase this camera . A Mamyia is the camera I dreamed of owning. I got a 35mm but a medium format Mamyia is what I dreamed of having. I loved photographing the Western states of the United States in the 1970’s
