Today, we’re sharing a beautiful portrait series from Paris based film photographer Alix Valentine. With a mix of experimental lighting techniques and the backdrop of a Parisian apartment, Alix brought her vision to life. Here is more from Alix about this series…
I recently shot a series with a lovely, beautiful girl called Lola in Montmartre. I’ve lately been heavily inspired by superficial night lights, trying to mix it with wonder and a story to tell.
It was a typical rainy day in Paris, so we shot in her apartment. As two film lovers, we discussed our love for film, for photography, cinema, videos, for visuals in general. And the importance of women playing a role in this creative industry and process.
The cigarette smoke danced and floated in the air, the whispers and giggles by the window, then the pensive confined silence, that rush and feeling of being a hopeless romantic in a big busy city.
